The Land Degradation and Development Group deals with land and water management interventions in farming systems (at both field and watershed scale) with the aim of preventing, reducing or recovering losses of soil, water and plant nutrients. Theses losses occur in all climate zones and in nearly all farming systems. The focus in education and research is on sustainable land management with emphasis on 1) land degradation processes; 2) conservation measures and interventions; and 3) the development impact of land degradation.
We are housed in the Atlas building at Wageningen Campus.
